Grolloo Flute Session 3 is back this summer and we are looking forward to another inspired week together....last year all the church concerts were absolutely packed and the village came alive with the sound of our flutes! 

Join us for another intensive AND fun week of music-making, brain-storming, discussions, video analysis, masterclasses, concerts....and beer experimentation sessions!

As a longstanding Patron of Musicians for Peace and Disarmament Wissam will be giving a recital at Hinde Street Methodist Church, 19 Thayer Street, London W1U 2QH. Tickets will be available at the door.

In Search of Inspiration, Bossut, Belgium

We are back at the beautiful home of Dominique Stoop, for an intense and warm few days of music making! After a break of a few years, I am delighted to be back at Dominique's farm! 

Our pianist Laurent Beeckmans will also be conducting the string orchestra "Strings For Europe" in a concert on the first day (2nd June), which I will also be taking part in.

We will have three days of masterclass and private lessons, culminating in a students' concert, taking place at 5pm on the 5th of June.

Shimmering Blue with Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra

Wissam will be performing Rolf Martinsson's electrifying Concerto "Shimmering Blue" with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra in Sweden, conducted by Christoffers Nobin. The concert will take place at 6pm on Wednesday 10th May. 

"Shimmering Blue" is an extraordinary piece featuring the innovative glissando headjoint in the slow movement, creating an other-worldly emotional spectrum.

11th Slovenian Flute Festival

Wissam is very happy to be participating in the 11th Slovenian Flute Festival is year, which is running 21/22 May 2016. He will be performing a program of Lebanese/British music with pianist Tim Carey.

Competition and Masterclasses - Adams International Flute Festival

Wissam will be at the Adams International Flute Festival for the third consecutive year. This time he will be a member of the jury for final round of the Dutch International Flute Competition on Friday 15th April. Wissam will be giving two full days of masterclasses on 16/17 April.

Flute Day / Recital - Canterbury Christ Church University

Wissam and Aleks will be visiting Canterbury Christ Church University on Saturday 12th March 2016. They will be giving a masterclasses followed by a recital, in which they will be performing Sonatas by Beethoven and Saint-Saëns, as well as giving their first performance of Chris Caine's "The Powder Monkey"

Wissam performs for Selecteum Des Arts et Sciences in Lebanon

On 2nd March 2016 Wissam will be returning to Beirut to perform for "Selecteum Des Arts et des Sciences", with the Quatuor Musique del Tempo and Tatiana Primak Khoury (piano).  He will be playing J S Bach's great Flute Concerto in E minor BWV 1059/35, he will also be teaming up with Tatiama in his own piece "Broken Child", and the concert will end with the ensemble again in Bizet's "Carmen Fantasy".
