INTENSIVE FLUTE COURSES

Wissam teaches on numerous intensive flute courses and festivals. Each has its unique atmosphere. These courses are a wonderful way to hone skills, while meeting musicians coming from different countries. These intense courses are the ideal setting to explore and take risks in and learn to play with excellent colleagues, while networking for the future in a non-judgemental environment that is free from exams and other external requirements.

Inner journeys - flute retreat

A short intensive musical retreat for flute players

20-23 April 2023

Known worldwide as his ‘Method Called `Love’, Wissam’s teaching is emotive and empowering. This intensive three-day musical retreat is designed for a maximum of 9 flautists of varying ages and abilities (above sixteen unless accompanied by a parent) who are building up towards pending concerts, exams, recordings that are taking place in Spring 2023, or performers/teachers/amateurs who would like to refresh their creative energies.

Participants arrive on the evening of Thursday 20th April to settle and get to know each other. During three packed days, you will take part in masterclasses, discussions, one-to-one lessons and rehearsals with Wissam and our resident pianist, Aaron Burrows, leaving on the evening of Sunday 23rd April. Come and enjoy three days of intense music making, self-discovery, fresh air, healthy food and great fun, in the peaceful setting of Hill House, in East Sussex.

ACCOMMODATION & COST

The course takes place in Hill House, a haven for creative living surrounded by quiet ancient woodlands.

The cost for the course is £495, which includes tuition, rehearsals, accommodation, breakfast, light lunch and home-cooked dinner. Auditors are welcome to the daily masterclasses/discussions at the rate of £50 per day.

To secure your place please submit the online form with a deposit of £100. The full balance must be settled by 25th March 2023. In the event that less than 5 participants apply, we reserve the right to cancel the course & will refund everyone in full (this has never happened before). Payment methods: online card or Paypal.
